The Snowdonia Society have their annual Snowdon litter pick arranged for Friday 7th October. They are still looking for volunteers to help, and I thought that some of our group might be interested in taking part.
A group of twenty are going by train to the summit and walking down the Llanberis path collecting litter, train ride courtesy of the railway company. All places have been taken - sorry.
Another group, split into smaller sections, will be walking up the Miners path from Pen y Pass, some as far as Llyn Llydaw and returning, some to Llyn Glaslyn and returning, and some I think to the intersection with the Pyg track, returning that way. Distance walked depending what volunteers want to do.
The group at Pen y Pass will leave at 9.49am. Free parking is available at Pont Bethania car park, Nant Gwynant, with a bus to Pen y Pass at 9.29am, and at Nant Peris car park, with the bus at 9.30am.
Full details can be had from Jenny Whitmore (jenny@snowdonia-society.org.uk) or 01286 685498. If you are willing to take can you please let me know as well, it will be good to have the Ramblers represented. No doubt we have all seen the stuff that some people leave around, though not Ramblers of course!
