Starting at Rhyd Ddu car park at 10:30. Your first decision is whether to pay the car park fee or park on the roadside in the village.
The route will initially follow the track up to Pitts Head rock before the next objective, Snowdon summit, where, if it's a nice day, there may be a few ill-equipped people about. The return route involves the easy descent to Bwlch Glas and then then we follow the Snowdon Ranger path, past Llyn Ffynnon y gwas before heading south(ish) through the quarries and back to Rhyd Ddu.
Here comes the biggest decision of the day, Tea Room or Pub.
It certainly isn't an easy stroll but it's not a really hard route and mostly follows fairly well worn paths. If you are not familiar with the route, there is a bit near the top which is a bit exposed but it's not across a ridge and the exposure is only on one side of the path.
