Final recce completed yesterday. Didn't realise how much fern & bracken (sounds a bit like Hinge & Brackett) grows in a couple of months but there's no problem whatever with the route. From Tremadog we take the footpath past the new hospital and through the woods above Penmorfa. Then up (a bit) towards the Tir Gofal path, which is the track of the old tramway from Cwm Ystraddlyn, to the proposed lunch stop by the Slate Mill. Then across the dam and back towards Tremadog via Llyn Du and Erwsuran.
It's a fairly leasurely walk with no scrambling & only a few steep bits. In order to avoid the possibility of falling foul of the Trades description act it must be emphasised that Edmund's statement in the 'yellow leaflet' that we are always in sight of the sea could only be correct for extremely tall individuals( 50ft+)
